Thanks for all your comments for yesterday's post! We've bought the toilets, are now awaiting delivery and installation....hopefully by the weekend.
I ended up doing my taxes last night after all, and hurray, we woke up so happy this morning, it looks like we don't owe anything. Big smiles over here! Now I can go back to dreaming about books and bookshelves.......
So all is relatively calm now. I say relatively because my assistant manager dropped a bombshell me on today by informing me they aren't going to let me change my hours completely at work, from 9-5 to 7:30 to 3:30, because I am the only one in my section who works 9-5 and we need someone there to answer any questions from the West Coast and any emergencies that crop up (and they do). I can do 8-4 in a pinch.....but no one is happy, especially my manager, so we have a 'team' meeting tomorrow to discuss working hours. Half of me is debating having Toby not take the job, and wait for another one to come up with earlier working hours for him. This is the first job requiring him to work 9-5!!! Ever!!! And the other half of me is considering whether we can juggle different schedules and each of us picking up one of the kids on the way home......a logistical nightmare. And Toby starts his new job on Monday, so we haven't had much warning. Anyway, just so you know any writing book thoughts are far from my head again tonight, even though I am reading a wonderful book, "A History of Reading" by Alberto Manguel, which I will be reviewing as soon as I'm done it, and I read "Exit Music" by Ian Rankin over the weekend and can recommend that as well, and will do a review as soon as my life settles down a bit!! I am thinking book thoughts, as always!!!

{{HUGS}} and I can completely empathize on the hours juggling and no one understanding the need except us. I hope the team meeting works to your advantage.
I love A History of Reading! Especially the little tear-out timeline. :D
vickie: see my post about the team-meeting results....and thanks for the hug! I'll let everyone know how the first week of juggling goes, next week.....
eva: I haven't got to the little tear-out timeline yet. Not quite half-way through the book, and really enjoying it. So you read it too! And....you're back!!! I missed you!
