It does look like an interesting collection of stories there, doesn't it?Susanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09095246748581382752noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6145452263098688113.post-5146016542043708452011-09-07T22:29:21.971-04:002011-09-07T22:29:21.971-04:00Thanks for the link, Susan. You can just read it on your computer like you did the Neil Gaiman story. The Aussie Gutenberg site has *loads* of free stuff you can read like that, though I'm not sure I would want to read anything that was really long on my pc.

LOL. I own a mobile phone but hardly ever use it. Not keen on them.Cathhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06371069000185280668noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6145452263098688113.post-30851788906209818402011-09-06T18:10:31.124-04:002011-09-06T18:10:31.124-04:00Cath: I don't have an e-book! Nope, I don't have a cell phone yet either.....my son is always surprised that I've made it on to Facebook! lol I really want to read the Wharton story, if that's how Susan Hill thinks of it. Must look to see if I have it in one of my collections. MR James is scary too.
Thanks for the short story idea!

Kathleen:You'll have to go to Cath's site to see what she says next weeekend! I put my thoughts already in this post. It's a short novelette, very good and has a dark fairy tale feel to it, without it being a fairy tale at all. I really liked it. You could always try reading it too :-) - just dabble your toe in to RIP this way.....Susanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09095246748581382752noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6145452263098688113.post-56280371274582100602011-09-06T15:37:20.225-04:002011-09-06T15:37:20.225-04:00I look forward to hearing all about your latest Ga...I look forward to hearing all about your latest Gaiman read. I am one slow book blogger in that I have yet to read him but I do follow him on Twitter (crazy, I know)!Kathleenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01739982274914536036noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6145452263098688113.post-10768121004897088202011-09-06T11:15:44.926-04:002011-09-06T11:15:44.926-04:00I'm sure I will. :-)

I found that here:

http://gutenberg.net.au/ebooks02/0200121.txt

I grabbed it because Susan Hill reckons it's one of the best ghost stories she's read. Which is recommendation enough for me! And I'm sure there'll be a few others to add to it. I found a few by M.R. James that I hadn't read for instance.Cathhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06371069000185280668noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6145452263098688113.post-39405723684007346942011-09-06T10:43:13.847-04:002011-09-06T10:43:13.847-04:00Cath: You are so welcome!
