Then, you buy a book that tells you about each card's meaning, to help you with the basic meaning as you develop your own way of looking at the card and interpreting it. then, you practise - pull cards every day, ask yourself questions and give yourself readings, and then practise on others and with them, so you can get a feel for what you see in the cards. the thing to remember is these are images we all know, from our subconscious;, they are images every person responds to, the world over, and all they do is reveal more about the question you are asking than you have let yourself (or the questioner) know about. the future they predict is usually the probable outcome of actions and expectations you/the questioner has now. I love them! The Hanged Man means you are at a time of waiting in your life right now. Things are changing for you, but you have no control over them, and have to wait it out. I used to get it alot in the 90's, so I can tell you that your life will change, and something in you has to be let go of - things slide off the Hanged Man that can't go into the future (the new life) with him. If that makes sense to you! It's a card of waiting, though, and of learning about timing and right action. HOpe that helps?!

bybee: figures you would feel sorry for Pluto! Temperance suits you now (at least how you come over on the blog) :-) did you like the card when you saw it?

geraniumcat: I've been wanting to buy the Dragon Tarot since I saw it a while ago! It looks really good, doesn't it? I'm hoping to buy it soon. A nun! Actually, I have to confess to occasionally longing now to retreat to a seminary just for some silence!!

patricia: See? You got that card when I gave you your reading. Stop being afraid of knowing things that you don't know how you know! Just accept them and follow them, see what your psychic ability is trying to tell you. Are you dreaming at all?

vickie: hi! You're welcome!

bride: I think Queen of Swords would be a lesser incarnation of the High Priestess - using that uncanny Scots way of knowing things to protect yourself intellectually!!! Neat that you see both for you. I get the Queen of Swords sometimes but I'm not entirely comfortable with her. I like the queen of Wands better, or queen of pentacles. They don't seem so critical....maybe it's my interpretation, I'll have to go look now!!Susanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09095246748581382752noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6145452263098688113.post-34305866724124310732008-08-21T15:33:00.000-04:002008-08-21T15:33:00.000-04:00I'm a High Priestess too, which pleased me greatly...I'm a High Priestess too, which pleased me greatly. I often get the Hierophant as well, which I don't mind. I often see myself as the Queen of Swords, though, which is interesting though I haven't tried to analyse why; perhaps I should.brideofthebookgodhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06522514562001253674noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6145452263098688113.post-88212472299299837072008-08-21T15:28:00.000-04:002008-08-21T15:28:00.000-04:00Thanks for this! Thanks for this!Vickiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15581178162502696838noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6145452263098688113.post-27402778084090890042008-08-21T12:27:00.000-04:002008-08-21T12:27:00.000-04:00Great. Where would be a good place to start? I'm just off to see what my card will be, but it won't mean very much to me, I'm afraid.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
