I love this challenge!

Ana: I was thinking of you as I wrote about the Byatt thoughts with The Wood Wife! I know how much you loved Possession. I wish I could have loved it more, and there are parts I really did think were wonderful. I expect to reread it again to try to finish it, as I do want to read it all. I love The Wood Wife, though. I think for me the difference is the fantasy and myth aspects, which I love entwined with the real world, like Charles de Lint does so well too.

Thoughts on Doll Bones are coming shortly! I am sadly behind on my reviews. You've made me want to reread this, Susan! It's such a relief in one way, to be able to read it and enjoy it so much.

Stefanie: I wish I could review books like Walton! She is much more concise and clear than I am. I have to get the book again - or ask for it for my birthday next month (May). There is so much book wisdom and thinking in her essays/reviews. Thanks for the compliment about the review, and I hope you do get to read it during this challenge, or just soon! :-)

Cath: That's ok, I've done that too many times when I'm about to read something someone has just reviewed. Thanks for the compliment for my review :-) I do hope you enjoy The Wood Wife when you get to it. I love how books wait for us to be ready for them.
